This photo was
taken at 4am and was the result of two
less than ideal circumstances. Firstly, my car was being fixed, so
photos had to be taken within walking distance of home. Secondly, I
couldn't sleep.
I decided to walk
up the road with my camera and found
that sitting by the side of a country road at night during long
exposures is a peaceful experience; I also learnt that the most
interesting photos are often found on one's doorstep, although one may
have to look hard to find them.
The scene has
changed a little since this photo was
taken: a garden has been planted in front of the 'Welcome to Leigh'
sign.
